Not brilliant; too salty

These almonds are the right shape for marcona almonds, but lack the buttery taste and texture and the depth of flavour that a marcona almond should ahve, to the extent that I wondered whether I was eating catalan almonds instead. I wanted salted almonds but these almonds are smothered in salt, which actually comes off all over my fingers (and clothes!) like a fine white powder. The saltiness drowns out the subtle and rich taste of the actual nuts: I might as well be eating KP salted peanuts, because salt is almost all I can taste.
