Peanuts are a type of legume known as a “second pod” because they grow underground like other legumes, they are regarded as one of the healthiest nuts that people love in the UK. They are filled with protein and other nutrients and have a low-glycemic index which means they won’t spike your blood sugar. Even though peanuts don’t have much fat, they still contain a fair amount of healthy monounsaturated fats. These are the same fats found in olive oil, avocados, and almonds! Peanuts can be consumed raw or roasted
